Yes, that was something I thought about before posting this. I was thinking where is a good place that I can share this besides here? I couldn’t think of a better place and I had to get this out. As a follower of politics but not a Republican I was enraged by this picture.
I don’t normally get that bothered by what people say or do in politics but this pushed me over the edge to actually create this post and this picture.
The reason this image bothers me so much is that this person went onto private property and destroyed something and then they have the audacity to call on free speech as their reason why they can do this. That is enraging to me. Who do they think they are that they can break the law and then call on it to protect them? It is like banks losing their money on sub prime mortgages and then expecting the people to bail them out. It is despicable at best.
What has the United States come to that makes people think this kind of behavior is ok?
So this got me thinking. I started to think back about all the stories I have read over the past couple days and years. I thought about this video of anarchist that were protesting because Scott Walker won again.
I thought about the Democrat crying about Walker winning being the “end of the USA as we know it”. I thought about the Occupy Walstreeters that were destroying a hot dog stand because they stopped giving them free food. I thought about the people in Madison protesting against Walker causing millions in property damage to the capital that we have to pay for. And the more I thought about it the more I realized that these people are spoiled brats! They think that breaking the law to get what they think they should have is ok and it is ok to throw a tantrum if they don’t get it. These people are not five! What is wrong with them? As I thought about it I kept thinking there must be a reason they are like this?
Well then I looked back at our history over the past years and I realized part of what is causing this.
The government has been giving out more and more handouts to more and more people every year. If you look at these charts you will see the numbers going up dramatically. 
As you can see it was 7.8% of income back then. Then we go to 2009 and it is at 17.6%. This not even as high as it really is now since we are in 2012.

This is showing how more people then ever are getting checks for doing nothing. This causes people to become dependent on the government and handouts. Then once they get used to it they begin to expect everything for free. What have we done? We created generations of people that rather live off the government then get a job. I talk to people that say they rather not find a job because they make about the same on unemployment as they do when they work. They say that because they take into account the expenses of a job like gas and wear and tear on their car. This is the sad truth. We have so many people in the USA that think it is fine to live off the government. They don’t think about the fact they are living off the people that are working not the government or the rich. There are a lot of people that think they are living off the rich when they live off the government but most really rich people pay very little in taxes. They use loopholes or get investment earnings instead of income. So the people they are really hurting are the people with jobs that are just making enough to support themselves anyway. Now it shouldn’t be that way in my opinion but the rich make the rules and that is not going to change anytime soon.
We need a change in the way people think not a slogan.
We need people that are driven to get up and make a better life for themselves. We need people that know it will take work and sacrifice to get there. We need people that are ready to get the training they need to get a job in a global economy. We need people that are willing to do their share of the work to fix our problems. Where are these people? Where did they go? That was what the United States was founded on. Now we have entitlement programs that zap people of the will to take care of themselves. What have we done to our nation?
How can we fix this problem?
I don’t really see a way forward for most people in my lifetime. Ron Paul was the closest thing to our founders. He was lucky to get 10% of the vote in most states and now he will be retiring. How can we be that far from our roots and come back? I don’t think we can during my lifetime. So this really is the root of why that picture angered me. I see the USA going down the same path as every other great nation that destroyed itself. This is how Rome fell and this is how the USA will fall. It is not being invaded, it is not terrorist, it is stretching ourselves to thin and trying to give everybody everything for free just to get a vote. It is having a population that doesn’t understand the basic economic policy that you can’t keep printing fiat money to buy what you need. It is because the people are uneducated on basic economic policy that we will fall. It is not a Democrat or Republican issue. This is an issue for the entire Wold. We need to learn from our mistakes instead of repeating them over and over again.

So in a effort to educate myself I found The Elevation Group. They are a group of like minded people that see what I see coming and are trying to prepare everyone for it as quickly as possible. I have been reading about what they have been talking about for over ten years. I just never thought of doing what they did. It is a brilliant way of trying to help as many people as they can as quickly as they can. I am not going to say we are going to crash in 1 year or even 10 years but it will happen. The main thing is that you need to be prepared for it when it does happen. If you wait what will you do when you lose your job and you have no money to prepare? This it the time to make the choice to rely on yourself and not the government. This is the time to make the choice that you are not going to go down this road just because everybody wanted freebies.
